Meal n Rep · version 2026-10-24

The short version

We keep your information to run the app for you. The company can see combined, de-identified numbers about how the app is used and how people progress, but not your name, email, phone number, private photos or notes. We never sell your personal information.

What we collect

Account: email, password (stored scrambled, never readable), recovery code (scrambled). Profile: what you enter during setup, such as age, sex, height, weight, goals, schedule, equipment, injuries, food preferences and, if you choose to give it, your ZIP code or area. Logs: workouts and sets, foods, water, weight, measurements, sleep, activity, notes and progress photos. App use: when you open the app, which app build you use, and timing counts like how long logging takes. We do not collect your exact location, contacts or anything from your phone outside the app.

How we use it

To build your plan, show your progress and give suggestions; to keep your account safe; to fix bugs and make the app faster; and, in combined de-identified form, to understand and improve the app and the business (see the next section).

What the company can see (de-identified insights)

The company that runs the app can see combined numbers across users, such as: how many people use the app and for how long, how many come back, age groups, the general area people come from (state or the first 3 digits of a ZIP code, never an exact address), goal choices, progress trends (for example the range of weight changes or workouts per week), and which features are used.

These views never show names, emails, phone numbers, photos, free-text notes or anything else that directly identifies you. Any group smaller than 5 people is hidden so no one can be singled out. Every time someone at the company opens these insights, it is recorded.

If you ask for support, a support person may look at your account only with your permission, for a limited time, and that access is recorded.

Trainers and gyms

A trainer or gym sees your information only after you connect with them, only the parts you allow, and only until you end the connection. For gyms, the company can see overall business numbers (such as member counts, plan types, revenue totals and check-in totals), not their members' personal details.

Who else gets your data

We do not sell or rent your personal information and do not share it with advertisers. We use service providers to host the app and store data, who may only use it to provide that service. We may share information if the law requires it.

Food lookups

When you search or scan a food, the search words or barcode (not who you are) may be sent to public food databases to find the product.

Your choices

You can see and change your information in the app, download everything we store about you (Me screen, Download my data), and delete your account at any time. Deleting your account removes your logs, profile and photos. We keep a record that a user ID agreed to our Terms (ID, version and time, nothing else) as proof of consent.

Security

Passwords are stored scrambled, connections are encrypted, and access inside the company is limited and recorded. No system is perfectly secure, so use a strong password you don't use elsewhere.

Children

The app is not meant for children under 13. Users under 18 need a parent's or guardian's permission.

Changes

If we change this policy in an important way, we will show you the new version and ask you to agree again.
