Fitness tracking when you keep Shabbos
Plan the week around Shabbos instead of fighting it.
Plan training for six days, not seven
With Shabbos mode on, Meal n Rep never schedules a workout on Shabbos or Yom Tov. Pick training days that leave Friday afternoon free if your Erev Shabbos is busy; the plan builder takes the days you choose.
Food on Shabbos
- You do not have to log anything on Shabbos. Nothing is marked missed and streaks never break.
- After Shabbos, the app offers an optional reminder to log Shabbos food. Rough portions are fine; one heavy day rarely changes a weekly trend.
- If you use the weekly calorie budget option, a big Shabbos meal can be balanced over the rest of the week, within set limits.
Yom Tov and travel
Yom Tov dates are rest days too. If you are away for Yom Tov or travelling, add an extra quiet period under Me. Times for Shabbos come from Hebcal for your ZIP; Yom Tov quiet times use your own weekly window.
We couldn’t find another workout and food tracker with a built-in Shabbos and Yom Tov mode or a hechsher filter (searched October 25, 2026). A search can miss things, so if you know of one, tell us.
Shabbos mode is a scheduling feature. It is not halachic guidance and has no rabbinic approval or supervision. It does not lock your phone; whether and how to use a phone on Shabbos is your decision.
This guide explains how to use Meal n Rep. It is general information, not medical or dietary advice, and it has not been reviewed by a doctor, dietitian or certified coach. If you have a health condition, ask a professional.
