How to track sleep consistently
Two taps a morning is enough.
How sleep logging works in Meal n Rep
Sleep is logged by hand: the hours you slept (whole hours, from 4 or less to 9 or more) and how it felt (Poor, OK or Great), one entry per night. There is no sensor, watch or Health app sync, so the numbers are your own estimate.
A routine that sticks
- Log it first thing when you open Today, while you remember.
- Estimate the same way each time, for example from lights-out to getting up.
- Look at the week, not the night. Progress shows your 7-day average.
- Use wind-down if it helps: a sound made on the phone, a breathing timer and a guide to your phone’s own sleep mode.
What the numbers mean
The CDC says adults generally need 7 or more hours of sleep a night (CDC: About sleep). Meal n Rep only points out sleep when you have logged at least 3 nights, your training or food is on track, and your average is under 6 hours. Its notes are wellness information, not a medical assessment.
This guide explains how to use Meal n Rep. It is general information, not medical or dietary advice, and it has not been reviewed by a doctor, dietitian or certified coach. If you have a health condition, ask a professional.
